Block of the Month Photos

Have you won the block of the month? Have you a wonderful quilt to show for it? We would love to show it off on the web site. It is wonderful for everyone in the guild to see what happens to that block they put into the competition. Contact the webmasters if you have photos and details.

What the BOM winners did!

Sewciety Women quilt

Sewciety Women BOM Quilt

Rhonda K. won the drawing for the completed Sewciety Women Quilt.

Rhonda K. - Fancy Hats

Rhonda won blocks at October 2007's Block of the Month exchange.

Sabine W. – BOM Exchange Quilt

Sabine won 12 blocks July 2004's Block of the Month exchange and set them together the next day. The flying geese border took a little longer - the last goose went on the day before the August Meeting.

Starry Night by Lynne F.

This quilt is the result of TWO BOM drawings nearly four years apart. Lynne writes "The large star blocks were won in the August 2000 BOM drawing. They sat in a pizza box until February of this year (2004), when I won the small blocks in the BOM drawing. I guess if you wait long enough, an opportunity will present itself!"

Christmas Quilts by Sharni Vaughan

Sharni writes "I won the Christmas BOM in 2003. Everyone was to embellish their blocks, with beads, embroidery, applique or anything they saw fit to use. I won 8 blocks all up and managed to turn them into 3 quilts. I made snowmen blocks to make them go further. I made a few extra for myself and the end result was four quilts. I kept one and the rest made great gifts. I must say quilting around all the embellishments was a challenge, it made me realise that for my own projects its best to save the embellishing for AFTER the quilting."
