Moms N Tots Small Group
The Moms N Tots meet one morning a week with the kids, and one night a month without the kids. The morning meetings group members bring hand work and sit and sew and chat while their kids play together. They take turns to meet in each others homes. For the monthly evening meeting, the group meets in a members home, and the host provides pizza and desert. After eating, they sit and sew and share quilting ideas. The friendships formed in this group have been strong and lasting, and members stay even once their kids have moved on to school.
Friendship Star with Floating Points Swap
The group exchanged friendship stars. The instructions for the swap will be posted here soon. The exchange started in September of 2000, and the squares were due in February 2001. The exchange was Carrie O's idea, she had seen an episode of Simply Quilts with Mary Ellen Hopkins in which she recommended that the point of the stars are floated inside the quarter inch of the square. By doing this the group could vary the size of the star point and never worry about matching points between squares. What the group didn't realise was that Mary Ellen Hopkins also did not match where the star point met the center square. We did match that point making the quares much more difficult. Everyone groaned through the project.
Starry Starry Night by Carrie O
Most of the squares in this quilt were from the exchange. Carrie added some 6 by 9 inch squares.

Snow Man Project
The rules were:
- It had to be mostly blue.
- It had to be a non christmas theme snowman.
- No fusible unless you stitched down the edges.
Snow Peoples by Carrie O
Carrie did not enjoy the block, but found once she started putting it together, that the quilt was fun. Carrie puts it up every winter.
Snowmen by Sabine
Not yet finished, but its in the process of being hand quilted.
Baby Quilts
When any member of the group has a baby, each member of the group makes a block following a set theme. It is then up to the new mother to assemble the blocks into a quilt.

Ryan is the son of Carrie O. He was born March 2000, and the quilt was finished in September 2000. The border fabric is a bug jar fabric.
